Steps to Become an Airline Pilot

We’ll learn about your goals, timeline, and any prior experience. Then we will outline a plan that fits your situation and recommend the best start date. You’ll leave the call knowing exactly what comes next.

You’ll begin ground and flight lessons on a structured schedule so you always know what to study and when to fly. Our team will help you stay organized and pass your written tests, and keep your training moving forward.

Over the course of your training you’ll earn your private pilot certificate, instrument rating, commercial single engine certificate, commercial multi engine add-on, certified flight instructor, and certified flight instructor instrument.

Once your training is done it’s time to get hired as a CFI and start instructing. You’ll teach new pilots, sharpen your own skills, and log the flight time you need for airline applications (1,500 hours).

When you’ve completed your 1,500 hours of flight time you’re ready to submit your applications to the regional airlines and land your first job as a regional airline pilot.
