How long does ZTA take to complete?
Students starting from zero flight experience typically complete ZTA in 11 to 14 months.
If you already hold a Private Pilot Certificate or Commercial Certificate, you’ll start further along in the program and finish faster.
After ZTA, expect another 18 to 24 months of building hours as a CFI before you reach the 1,500 hour minimum for a regional airline first officer position.
Total time from day one to airline first officer is about three years for most students.
